“Kemono Friends” Director Collaborates With NHK E TV Children’s Program

Anime director Tatsuki (Kemono Friends) of the independent animation studio irodori is teaming up with NHK E TV in a collaboration for Yoroshiku! Fun-Fun (“Please Treat Me Well! Fun-Fun”), an educational children’s TV program aimed at 4th grade elementary school students that combines live-action and animated segments in order to teach kids lessons in social studies.

Tatsuki provides CG production for the series as well as the main character design for Fun-Fun, a type of high performance alien robot that looks like a cross between a tanuki and a video cassette. Voice actress Misato Fukuen provides the voice of Fun-Fun.

The premise of Yoroshiku! Fun-Fun involves three children from outer space who have come to Earth to study Japanese society as part of their homework assignments. Yoroshiku! Fun-Fun will broadcast on NHK E TV on Wednesdays during the 09:20 time slot beginning on April 11, 2018.
