“Udon no Kuni no Kin-iro Kemari” TV Anime 1st PV Posted for October 2016 Premiere

The official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Nodoka Shinomaru’s slice-of-life fantasy manga Udon no Kuni no Kin-iro Kemari (Golden Kemari in the Udon Country) has updated with a new main visual featuring the two protagonists, Souta Tawara and Poko, and also posted a 70-second first PV. The Liden Films-produced series is set to premiere in October 2016.


The “Heartful Fantasy” manga has been serialized in Shinchosha’s Monthly Comic@BUNCH since August 2012, and currently seven tankobon volumes are available in Japan. The story is set in Kagawa Prefecture in the Shikoku island, where is famous for its Sanuki udon (wheat noodles). After his father’s death, 30-year-old Souta Tawara (CV: Yuichi Nakamura) goes back to his hometown in Kagawa from Tokyo where he has worked as an web designer. At his parents’ noodle-making factory, he finds a mysterious child Poko (Shiho Kokido) sleeping in a furnace that is no longer used. Though looks like a human girl, she is a raccoon dog who disguises herself as a human. Souta decides to live with her at his

parents’ house.
