TV Anime “Maerchen Maedchen” Reveals 1st PV Featuring Image Song by Reina Ueda

As previously announced, a 100-second first PV for the upcoming TV anime Maerchen Maedchen is now screened at NBCUniversal’s booth in the Comic Market 92. At the same time, the anime’s official website has also streamed the clip introducing an image song “Daremo Watashi wo Shiranai Sekai he” (To the world where no one knows about me) sung by 23-year-old voice actress Reina Ueda.

The magical girl-featured fantasy project was originally created by the late Tomohiro Matsu (Mayoi Neko

Overrun!, Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!) in 2014. After Matsu’s death in May 2016, the project

has been continued by writer group StoryWorks, which was headed by Matsu, and released the first volume

of its light novel series with illustrations by Kantoku (The “Hentai” Prince and the Stony Cat.) in February

of this year.

The story centers on Hazuki Kagimura, an orthodox girl who loves stories and imaginations. One day, she

is selected by the original book (Maerchen) of “Cinderella,” then enters a magical school. The students like

her are called “Maedchen,” and they learn magics at the school to become a “Maerchen master.” TV anime

is set to premiere sometime in 2018.
