TV Anime Adaptation of “Avabel Online” Smartphone Game Cancelled

Japanese online game company Asobimo confirmed yesterday that the TV anime adaptation project of its popular MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) for smartphones, Avabel Online, is officially canceled due to various circumstances. The 3D action game started its service for Android and iOS devices in July 2013, and has been reportedly downloaded over 20 million times via the Google Play Store.


The TV anime project was announced on April 24, 2016. Its original staff were:

 Scenario Writers: Bingo Morihashi (Devil May Cry), Naoki Tozuka (Modern Magic Made Simple)

 Anime Prodution Company: Felix Film (A Good Librarian Like a Good Shepherd)
