Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto may be over—with Boruto currently busy in manga and on the small screen—but there are plenty of new stories to tell. A three-book novel series is on the way next, with Naruto Shinden (The New Legend of Naruto) set to kick things off in Japan on May 2.
After that one’s out, Sasuke Shinden follows and Shikamaru Shinden closes out the series of books. Since these are “new legends,” they take place when all the characters are parents, and Naruto Shinden will include short stories centered on the parent-child dynamic.
Naruto Shinden is written by Mirei Miyamoto, who previously penned the novelization of The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. movie. Masashi Kishimoto is on board to handle the art.
