A “flying get” report featuring the cover of the August 2017 issue of Shogakukan’s Monthly Shōnen Sunday confirms that Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san (“Takagi-san is Good at Pranks”), a humorous manga by Souichirou Yamamoto about a school girl who loves to play pranks on her classmate, is being adapted into a TV anime scheduled to be released in 2018.
In Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san, Takagi-san enjoys playing tricks on Nishikata, a boy who sits next to her in class. Nishikata tries to return the favor for all of the jokes played on him, but Takagi-san is simply too good at pulling pranks to fall for his attempts at pranking.
Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san began life as a web comic published on the Pixiv Comic website, and the series is now published in Shogakukan’s Monthly Shōnen Sunday magazine. The August 2017 issue of Monthly Shōnen Sunday will be released in Japan on July 12, 2017. It retails for 550 yen ($4.83 US) including tax.
