“The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.” Live-Action Film Latest Trailer Reveals Theme Song by Yuzu

99 days before its theatrical release in Japan, the official website for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Shuichi Asou’s comedy manga series The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. today released a 80-second new trailer introducing its main cast in costume and the theme song “Koi, Hajikemashita (Love, Burst Open) performed by two-member unit Yuzu.

 

The two, who are now in the middle of their 20th anniversary year, say, “After reading the manga, we took various hints from it and reflected them to the song. We hope you enjoy the film as well as the song ‘Koi, Hajikemashita.’ Even with that, the quality of the film is so high!”

The filming of the Kento Yamazaki-starring film was already complete in October 2016, and it is set for

release in Japan on October 21, 2017. Director Yuichi Fukuda’s another latest live-action film adaptation

of popular Japanese manga, Gintama, opens today in Japan, and Yamazaki’s another live-action film

adaptation of popular Japanese manga, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable, will be 

also released on August 4, 2017.
