The official website for ex-Studio Ghibli director Hiromasa Yonebayashi (The Secret World of Arrietty, When Marnie Was There)’s new anime feature film Mary to Mahou no Hana/Mary and The Witch’s Flower today announced its 10 English dub cast.
It is confirmed that 13-year-old English actress Ruby Barnhill, who recently starred in Steven Spielberg’s 2016 film The BFG, is cast as the protagonist Mary, while 41-year-old award-winning actress Kate Winslet (Titanic, The Reader) voices Madame Mumblechook. The voice recording was already done in the UK where the main story of the film is told.

The 102-minute film was released by Toho in Japan on July 8, 2017, and has earned over three billion
yen by its 8th weekend. GKIDS has acquired the North American distribution rights to it and is planning
a theatrical release in winter of 2017.
