Moyoco Anno, creator of the hit shoujo manga series Sugar Sugar Rune, recently announced an official revival project for the story.
The project is said to republish the story in full color with additional content, and North American publisher Udon Entertainment is taking the reigns as far as republishing the series.
Anno herself asked fans to post on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag “#シュガシュガルーン” (Sugar Sugar Rune) in an effort to drum up support for the full-color series, in the hopes that an official website will be unlocked with enough fan submissions.
Previously the series ran in Nakayoshi magazine from 2004 to 2007, and Del Ray handled the English distribution. Udon plans on releasing the new volume in the second quarter of 2016. Looks like this super sweet shoujo series is going to be back on our radar again!
