Japanese video game company Square Enix and idol agency Dearstage (Dempagumi.inc, Moso Calibration) jointly launched a new open audition for voice actresses/singers, titled “Audition for Girls Who want to be Voice Actresses” on December 1. This is their first collaboration audition for new talents, and Xing, which owns one of the largest karaoke services in Japan, Joysound, also supports the project.
Applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 22, and have no current contracts with any agencies, record companies, or publishers as of the end of December 2017. Entries are accepted via a form on the official site (https://2017audition.dearstage.co.jp), LINE ID (@dearstage), or mail address (@dearstage.co.jp) till December 31. Following paper judgments in early January and interviews in the middle of the month, a final examination (including interviews and performances) is scheduled to be held from late January to early February.
The winner will receive privileges as follows:
1. Guarantee to join a title produced by Square Enix
2. Agent contract with Dearstage
3. Full support for a major debut
