“Spirited Away” Returns to U.S. Theaters Along with Ghibli Shorts

Believe it or not, Studio Ghibli and director Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away is 15 years old. The feature originally debuted in 2001, and GKIDS is teaming up with Fathom Events and Hot Topic to present its limited return to U.S. theaters, with screenings planned at select cinemas nationwide.

The two-day event starts on December 4 with screenings of the English dubbed version, followed by English-subtitled screenings on December 5. Those who stick around after the main attraction will be treated to an exclusive screening of Ghiblies: Episode 2, marking the short film’s North American debut.

You can grab advance tickets at Fathom’s website, and check out the trailer below.

There’s also a Spirited Away 15th anniversary website.
