Virtual idol and potential Sharon Apple warning flag Hatsune Miku made her first trip to continental China, dividing four nights of concerts between Shanghai and Beijing. If you’d like to see a little of how it went down, the official YouTube channel is more than happy to oblige:
If the audio is a little hard to piece apart, note that that’s composer doriko’s popular ballad “Uta ni Katachi wa Nai Keredo”… or, more specifically, a Chinese cover of it.
With the end of the China leg of the tour, Miku Expo has ended, and Hatsune Miku is off home to recharge or update her plugins or whatever it is virtual idols do when they’ve been on the road. If you missed this year’s events, keep your ears open — there may well be a 2017 Miku Expo.
