If you caught the Resident Evil 7 trailer during E3 2016, you were likely left with a lot of questions. Well, some of them have been answered, and you may well be left reeling. There are some amazing changes happening for the series that you’ll be interested to find out: namely, the fact that the game will be in first-person and it won’t feature any quick-time events.
Those are major changes from the past few Resident Evil titles, and it could very well be owed to the fact that for the very first time in the series a Western writer has taken up duties to bring the game to life. Richard Pearsey, who was responsible for the harrowing tale that haunted Spec-Ops: The Line as well as F.E.A.R., has already done some extremely interesting things as far as the trailer and demo have demonstrated.
What do you think will end up happening with the new Resident Evil 7 and its trailblazing new direction? One thing’s for sure: It’ll definitely be terrifying.
