“PriPara” TV Anime New Series “Idol Time PriPara” Adds New Protagonist Yui Yumekawa

It was announced at the press conference for the “PriPara New Project” held in Tokyo today on January 18 that a new PriPara TV anime series titled Idol Time PriPara is set for April 2017, and in addition to Laala Manaka, the protagonist of the past three seasons, it will also feature a new protagonist girl Yui Yumekawa, who is in the sixth grade of elementary school.


Yui is voiced by Arisa Date, who is known for her portray as Emi Namba in The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls and Himari Tamagawa in Aikatsu Stars!. Other two confirmed two new characters are Nino Nijiiro voiced by Yo Taichi (Sakura Tajima in Urawa no Usagi-chan) and Michiru Kouda by Yuina Yamada (Mirasa in Kuromukuro).


The original PriPara TV anime series inspired by Takara Tommy and syn Sophia’s trading card arcade game of the same name has been aired for three seasons in Japan since July 2014. Instead of Parajuku

in the previous seasons, the story of Idol Time PriPara is set in Paparajuku. As a top idol from Parajuku,

Laala Manaka comes to a town where Yui Yumekawa lives for another new idol theme park PriPara. But

due to a system error, Laala becomes unable to PriPara change. Will Laala and Yui be able to fill the place

with idols?
