Preview Offers The Latest Look At “Interviews With Monster Girls” Anime

Coming in January, a TV anime will adapt Petos’ fa Demi-chan ha Kataritai, known in English as Interviews with Monster Girls. While still just teasing the female voice cast, a second preview has offered the latest look.

 

Ryo Ando, who has worked as an episode director for Love Live!Love Live! Sunshine!!, and Shokugeki no Soma, makes his series directorial debut for A-1 Pictures, alongside series composition writer Takao Yoshioka (The Morose Mononokean) and character designer Tetsuya Kawakami (Robot Girls Z).


So far, Junichi Suwabe’s role as biology teacher Tetsuo Takahashi is the only announced cast member, but TrySail, the vocal unit formed by voice actresses Momo Asakura, Shiina Natsukawa, and Sora Amamiya, have been tapped to perform the theme song.


The single for “Original” will be released on February 8th with B-side “Chip log.”

The original Interviews with Monster Girls manga by Petos is serialized in Kodansha’s Young Magazine the 3rd seinen manga magazine. An English language version of the series is currently being produced by Kodansha, who describe Interviews with Monster Girls manga as follows:

 

“Monsters of legend walk among us, going by the name “demi-humans.” Ever since he’s discovered the “demis,” one young man has become obsessed with them. So when he gets a job as a teacher at a high school for demi-girls, it’s a dream come true! But these demis, who include a rambunctious vampire, a bashful headless girl, and a succubus, have all the problems normal teenagers have, on top of their supernatural conditions. How to handle a classroom full of them?!”
