Following the two main voice cast, Daiki Yamashita as Izuku “Deku” Midoriya and Kenta Miyake as All Might, the official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Kohei Horikoshi’s hero action shonen mange series Boku no Hero Academia/My Hero Academia today also announced that Katsuki Bakugou is voiced by 29-year-old voice actor Nobuhiko Okamoto, known as Rin Okumura in Blue Exorcist and Eiji Niizuma in Bakuman. Katsuki, nicknamed as Katchan, is a childhood friend of the protagonist Izuku.
The manga has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since its 32nd issue of 2014. Currently six tankobon volumes are available in Japan and its total print run has reached two million copies. 36-year-old Kenji Nagasaki, who recently worked on Gundam Build Fighters and Classroom Crisis, attaches to direct the adaptation for BONES, alongside character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi (Ojamajo Doremi, HeartCatch PreCure!). Its premiere schedule is not announced yet.
