Newly-Formed Voice Actress Unit NOW ON AIR Releases Their 1st MV

The official website for newly-formed six-member voice actress unit NOW ON AIR has posted a two-minute music video for their debut single song “Kono Koe ga Todokimasuyouni” (I Wish This Voice Can Reach You). It will be used as an image song for the upcoming anime film Kimi no Koe wo Todoketai (I Want to Deliver Your Voice), in which the members will also make their professional voice actress debut. 

 

The six members: Misako Iino, Mitsuho Kambe, Aki Tanaka, Hitomi Suzuki, Momone Iwabuchi, and Mina Katahira were chosen from about 3,000 participants in the “Kimikoe Audition” held by Tohoku Shinsha from March to August 2016. Their debut single “Kono Koe ga Todokimasuyouni” will be released from Lantis on March 8. 

 

The film Kimi no Koe wo Todoketai is animated by Madhouse, and Naoyuki Ito, best known for his critically

and commercially successful film in 2013, DokiDoki! PreCure the Movie: Mana’s Getting Married!!? The Dress

of Hope Tied to the Future!, serves as the director. While not much details are revealed so far, it is described

as “The story that (the girls) make connections with people through a local radio station, and find their own

dreams.” The film is set for a release in Japan in the summer of 2017.
