New Key Visual for “Why the hell are you here, Teacher!?” TV Anime Promises Physical Education


A new key visual (above) and new cast members have been revealed for Why the hell are you here, Teacher!? (known in Japan as Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!?), an upcoming TV anime based on the ecchi romantic comedy manga by Soborou about male students who find themselves in comprosing situations with their female teachers.


The new cast members revealed include:


  • Shizuka Ishigami as Hikari Hazakura.
  • Kazutomi Yamamoto as Takashi Takahashi.
  • Nozomi Yamamoto as Chizuru Tachibana.
  • And Yūsuke Kobayashi as Kou Tanaka.


Additionally, the opening theme for Why the hell are you here, Teacher!?i, entitled “Bon♡Kyuu♡Bon wa Kare no Mono♡”, is perfromed by Sumire Uesaka.



The original Why the hell are you here, Teacher!? manga is serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine. The TV anime adaptation is directed by Hiraku Kaneko and features animation by Tear Studio. The story is told in omnibus format, and it follows male students and female teachers who keep encountering one another in unlikely and scandalous scenarios.


Why the hell are you here, Teacher!? will broadcast in Japan on Tokyo MX and BS11 beginning in April of 2019.
