New Japanese “Moana” Trailer Showcases Dub of “How Far I’ll Go”

After various casting announcements leading up the film’s release, Disney has finally announced the voice actress playing the lead in the Japanese dub of Moana: Tomona Yabiku, an aspiring young actress from Okinawa.

 

 

The new trailer for the Japanese release, which is going under the title Moana to Densetsu no Umi (Moana and the Legendary Sea), features a cut of Yabiku’s performance of “How Far I’ll Go,” originally composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

 

 

Moana will be released in Japan on March 10.
