NEW YORK, NY – (April 16, 2018) –The New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awarded 26 New York Emmy® Awards to NBC 4 New York / WNBC, Telemundo 47 / WNJU, and LX.TV Productions at their 61st Annual Awards Gala on Saturday, April 14, 2018. The Gala was held at the Marriott Marquis in New York City.
NBC 4 New York received 15 Emmy® Awards, including for top “Daytime Newscast,” Evening Newscast,” and “Weekend Newscast”. Additionally, the WNBC I-Team, the largest local, televised investigative and consumer reporting team in New York, won four Emmy® Awards including top “Investigative Report,” won by Sarah Wallace, “Feature News Report – Serious,” won by Jonathan Dienst and “Talent: Reporter – Investigative,” won by Chris Glorioso.

Telemundo 47 New York received nine Emmy® Awards, including for top “Weather Talent,” won by Pedro Montoro and top “Talent/Reporter: Live,” won by Luis Gerardo Nunez. Top honors were also received within the within the categories of “Business/Consumer,” won by Liz Gonzalez; “Education/Schools,” won by Odalys Molina; “Human Interest: News,” won by Luis Alejandro Medina; “Feature News Report – Serious” and “Societal Concerns,” won by Pablo Gutierrez, and “Editor: Short Form,” won by Robert Cruz.

LX.TV Productions also received two New York Emmy® Awards on Saturday evening. This included awards for “Societal Concerns: Program/Special”, won by “Talk Stoop” as well as for top “Talent: Reporter – Specialty Assignment,” won by George Oliphant of “George to the Rescue.”
