New York Comic Con 2015 (NYCC), the largest pop culture festival in the East Coast of the U.S., was held at the Javits Center in New York from Oct. 8–11 (Thur.–Sun.).
Tokyo Otaku Mode attended Day 3 of NYCC, Oct. 10 (Sat.), where we carried out a massive project for Naruto fans. It was an important day for Naruto fans, and fans are surely well aware why. That’s because it was the day that Boruto: Naruto the Movie released in North America, and it was also main character Naruto Uzumaki’s birthday!
In commemoration of the auspicious day, and so that fans could celebrate together, we held a photo shoot and parade inside NYCC that attracted a gathering of over 100 Naruto fans.
Fans came together and lit NYCC afire in the parade with a huge banner reading “Naruto Unite” out in front and Naruto music blasting through speakers including theNaruto theme song “Go!!!” by Flow and the Boruto: Naruto the Movie theme song “Diver” by Kana-Boon. It wasn’t just fans though, even passersby were captivated and joined in on the celebration too! The parade was surely an expression of the “teamwork” important to Naruto’s knowledge of sealing jutsu.
Please be sure to check out below a video of the parade and an interview clip from afterward!
