Additional amazons have joined the cast of Ange Vierge, a TV anime that is part of a cross-media franchise about women from different worlds awakening to superhuman abilities called “Exceeds”. The new cast members include:
Shizuki Ito as Aoi Mikage, a fencing master from the blue world with the ability to manipulate particles. Aoi has a severe personality and considers herself the rival of Saya Sougetsu.
Aoi Yūki as Ramiel, an angel from the red world with a power Exceed that allows her to create miracles. Although she has wings, Ramiel cannot fly. Ramiel is capable of linking the Alpha Driver with her wing made of light, but this ability is a bit tricky to execute.
Minori Chihara as Code Omega 33 Carene, a tactical-class battle android from the white world with the ability to distort space. She has limited language skills since most of her resources are dedicated to combat. Code Omega 33 Carene has a very dry personality, although she dotes on her sister machine, Xenia.
Kana Hanazawa as Code Omega 46 Xenia, an android from the white world with an Exceed called “Learning and Growing”. Her special power is a versatile ability that allows Xenia to store equipment for any occasion in a sub-space dimensional pocket. Xenia is prone to volatile mood swings, but she’s generally a gentle and curious person.
Ayane Sakura as Eins Exaura, a genetically engineered lifeform from the green world attached to the Grünesilt military. When Eins uses her Exceed “Expend”, she loses her memories of the past, and as a result has a very cavalier attitude toward the sanctity of life. Eins wields a blade called “Migliardia”, and is one the strongest fighters on the green world in single combat.
Sumire Uesaka as Ageha Sanagi, a lieutenant colonel from the green world attached to the Grünesilt military. Ageha is a scholar as well as a soldier, and she acts as a diplomat to the other four worlds. Ageha is a calm and heroic figure, and she cherishes her sister, Mayuka.
Saori Hayami as Aurora, the goddess of the dawn from the red world. Aurora is one of the seven goddesses who rule the red world. Her Exceed “Absolute Protection”, allows her to defend Seiran Academy, one of the most important bases of the five worlds. Aurora has a friendly personality and she doesn’t like to fight, but she’s scay when roused to anger.
Mai Aizawa as Dr. Michael, a genius scientist from the white world who became an expert in android development at the age of 10. Dr. Michael is the creator of Xenia and Carene, and she resides at Seiran Academy. Dr. Michael has an undeniable sense of intellectual curiosity, and she will not cease examining something until she’s completely satisfied.
Saya Sato as Clara, an apprentice angel from the red world. Clara is friends with Ruby and serves as an assistant to Aurora. Clara is still inexperienced and bit naive since arriving at Seiran Academy, but she greets the problems of each new day with a sense of determination.
Ange Vierge is set in a fictional universe where the spontaneous opening of dimensional portals to alternate Earths has awakened magical powers in young girls. These girls use their newfound abilities to protect their home worlds from destruction. The franchise includes a trading card game developed by Fujimi Shobo and Media Factory (both divisions of Kadokawa) and a manga that was published in Monthly Dragon Age magazine.
The Ange Vierge TV anime will begin its Japanese broadcast on Tokyo MX and KBS Kyoto on July 09, 2016, with additional airings to follow later on TVA (Television Aichi Broadcasting), Sun TV, BS Fuji, and AT-X.
