“Monster Strike” Web Anime 2nd Season Starts Streaming on April 1

The official website for the web anime adaptation of mixi’s mega hit action RPG Monster Strike announced today that its second season is set to premiere on its official YouTube channel at 19:00 on April 1 (JST), and released a new key visual featuring the two new heroines, transfer student Mana and a mysterious woman. From the second season, the web anime is called “Monsto Anime” in Japan. In place of the first season’s Kazuya Ichikawa, Takayuki Hamana (Library Wars, Magical girl lyrical Nanoha Reflection) is newly served as the director. 


The 51-episode first season began streaming with multilingual support: English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, and Portuguese in October 2015 and has been viewed over 150 million times worldwide by December 2016. Thanks to the international success, the length of an episode will be extended to 10 minutes from the first season’s seven. To commemorate the launch of the new season, a 15-minute special program “Katsubou no Hate no Risoukyo (Utopia

in The End of Thirst)” will be streamed at 19:00 on March 25.   


In addition to its home country, Japan, the game been also available in Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong,

China, Macau, North and South America, and Eastern Europe, attracting over 40 million registered

users as of January 2017.
