“Medabots Classics” Collection Brings the First Five Games to 3DS

Medabots fans will be getting a hefty collection of games in the not-too-distant future. While there’s no release date yet, Medabots Classics is a 3DS compilation that packs in the first five Medabots games with system and evolution improvements.

Some of the improvements include the ability to save and load at any time, as well as a Force Robattle Skip feature that lets you avoid battles against weaker enemies. There will also be local multiplayer for battles and parts trading, and a Meda-Album that compiles the parts you gathered throughout the main stories of each game.

The ¥4,800 ($44) collection will include Medabots through Medabots 5, released on Game Boy and Game Boy Color from 1997 to 2001. There will be two versions of Medabots ClassicsKabuto and Kuwagata—as well as a ¥12,000 ($110) limited edition that includes both along with a 20-song soundtrack and 520-page art book.
