“Legend of Zelda” 30th Anniversary Concert Coming to DVD and CD

In October of this year, fans of Nintendo’s epic Legend of Zelda series got a treat when the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra staged a series of concerts featuring music from the games. Led by conductor Taizou Takemoto, the concert served as a 30th anniversary celebration of the popular game franchise and its music over the years. And starting this February, fans who weren’t fortunate enough to experience it for themselves can listen at home.

The Legend of Zelda 30th Anniversary Concert was performed in Kyoto on October 1 of this year, and went on to play at five different venues in Kyoto, Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya. The CDs will feature a recording from the October 16th performance at Tokyo Art Theater Concert Hall.

The set includes 2 CDs, and a DVD will be included in a limited-edition first pressing. The DVD will feature the game footage projected above the orchestra during the concert. This edition will also feature an exclusive box, display stand, and pinback badge.

The Legend of Zelda 30th Anniversary Concert will be released on February 15, 2017.
