In commemoration of her 10th anniversary, Japan Post Office’s Hokkaido branch will start offering the original frame stamp set featuring the internationally famous vocaloid character Hatsune Miku. The 3,900-limited item will be available at post offices all over Japan on August 31, then on its official online store six days later. The first vocaloid software featuring the character was released by Crypton Future Media on August 31, 2007.
The post office has released stamp sets using the “Snow Miku” arts every year, but this is the first time to release the one featuring “Hastune Miku.” The 2,500-yen (about 23 US dollars) set includes ten 62-yen frame stamps, an A3-size folded mount, and two stickers. The main visual of the Miku in a mail delivery uniform is newly drawn by nekosumi, who is known for his Snow Miku arts. The stamp arts includes the PiaPro character illustrations by iXima (Hatsune Miku Vocaloid 3 package) and the 10th anniversary illustration by Miku’s original character designer KEI.
