Japan Box Office: “Is the Order a Rabbit??” Film Delivers Strong Debut with 102 Million Yen

According to the box office report for the weekend of November 11-12, Is the Order a Rabbit?? ~Dear My Sister~, a 60-minute sequel episode to the TV anime second season in 2015, earned an impressive 102 million yen from the 79,000 ticket sales and ranked fourth in its opening weekend, despite of its limited release with only 40 theaters. Its opening weekend per theater average was 2.55 million yen. Judging from the very good result, the special episode is expected finish its domestic run with around 500 million yen. 

 

Meanwhile, “Benio, Hana no Junana-sai” (Benio, Radiant 17 Years Old), the first part of the two-part all-new anime feature film based on Waki Yamato’s popular shoujo manga in the mid-1970s, Haikara-san ga Tooru (Here Comes Miss Modern), was also released in 56 theaters across Japan in the same weekend, but failed to ranked in the top 10. Its opening weekend result has not yet been reported.
