“Hello Kitty” Limited Edition Winter Chocolates Take Aim at Tourists

Sanrio and Bit are teaming up to produce a limited edition run of winter-themed chocolates designed to serve as souvenirs for foreign tourists visiting Japan. The “Bit Melt-in-Your-Mouth Milk Chocolate Special Hello Kitty Version” candies will be available during the coming Winter season, and they capitalize on Hello Kitty’s international popularity.

The bite-sized chocolates are individually wrapped with packaging featuring Hello Kitty in eight different, winter-themed designs. The chocolates will sell in 20-piece boxes for 800 yen ($6.51 US) plus tax, and they will be available in such locations as airports, train stations, souvenir stores, drug stores, and retail stores in Japan beginning December 01, 2015.
