The official website for the two-part all-new anime feature film based on Waki Yamato’s classic shoujo manga Haikara-san ga Tooru (Here Comes Miss Modern) announced today that its second part “Tokyo Dai Roman” (Big Romance in Tokyo) is set to be released in Japan on October 18, 2018. It will animate until the last chapter of the manga, which didn’t cover in the TV anime in the late 1970s.
The first part “Benio, Hana no Junana-sai” (Benio, Radiant 17 Years Old) was released in Japan on November 11, 2017. The second part was originally scheduled to be directed by Mitsuko Kase (Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory), but she has been replaced by Seimei Kidokoro (Fireworks, Should We See it from the Side or the Bottom? assistant director) for unspecified reasons.

Meanwhile, the first part will screen in Japanese audio with English subtitles in the United States and
Canada beginning on June 8, under the title Haikara-San: Here Comes Miss Modern Part One.
