“Girls und Panzer das Finale” 1st Episode Completed Just Four Days Before Release

Now the fans can be relieved. Tsutomu Mizushima, the director of the six-part OVA series Girls und Panzer das Finale, reported on his official Twitter at 00:27 on December 5 (JST) that its first episode was finally completed, just four days before its theatrical release in Japan. In his previous posts, he confirmed that the 47-minute first episode mainly focuses on the daily life of the students at Oarai Girls High School, and of course their tank also appears.

“‘Girls und Panzer das Finale: The 1st Episode’ is completed. I really appreciate everyone who have worked on this.”

Then he also posted, “I’ll work on the second chapter continuously.”

The first episode of Girls und Panzer das Finale will be screened in 59 theaters across Japan from

December 9. Because of its shorter screening time than a regular feature film, the price for the ticket

is 1,200 yen (for all age), 600 yen cheaper than the regular one.

The first two week’s theatergoers will receive one of the three illustration colored papers newly drawn by

the original character designer Fumikane Shimada for one ticket.
