The music of Shin Godzilla and Neon Genesis Evangelion will soon square off in the “Shin Godzilla vs. Evangelion Symphony”, a concert event featuring a full orchestra that will run for 4 performances on March 22 – March 23, 2017, at the Bunkamura Orchard Hall venue in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan.
The concert is sponsored by Khara, Inc. with Hideaki Anno serving as executive producer and the composition, arrangement, and general direction of the event being handled by music producer / composer Shirō Sagisu. This concert marks the 1st time that the music of Neon Genesis Evangelion will be played in Japan with a full orchestra since the “Evangelion Symphony” event that was held in 1997.
Each concert date has an afternoon performance at 1PM JST and an evening performance at 6PM JST. Tickets range in price from 7500 yen ($67.54 US) for a Class B seat during the afternoon performances to 14,000 yen ($126.07 US) for a Class S seat during the night performances.
