GeGeGe no Kitaro is back on our screens, and with it comes the continuation of an exhibit devoted to its late creator, Shigeru Mizuki.
Titled the Shigeru Mizuki Memorial GeGeGe no Kitaro Life Exhibition, the art exhibit began in Tokyo in 2017. Since then, it has traveled around the country at intervals. It was last seen in Fukuoka this winter, and will be coming to Nagoya later this month.
The exhibit features 390 individual items, including manuscripts, manga pages, sketches, and much more from the pen of Mizuki himself. Also on display will be essays and personal items. The “GeGeGe no Department Store” that travels with the exhibit will offer items for sale only as part of the display.
From Nagoya, the exhibit will move on to Okinawa in July, and Shimane in November.
