FUNimation Licenses Live-Action “Rurouni Kenshin” Trilogy

FUNimation Entertainment has announced their license of the Rurouni Kenshin live-action movie trilogy and their plan to release all three movies sequentially starting this fall. The adaptation of Nobuhiro Watsuki’s Meiji era action series includes Rurouni Kenshin: Origins (renamed for the North American release), and the two-part adaptation of the popular Kyoto-arc,  Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno and Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends.

 

Takeru Satoh stars as the lead with Keishi Otomo directing.Tatsuya Fujiwara is the latter movies’ Shishio Makoto.
