“Dragon Magazine” Set to Announce “Full Metal Manic!” and “Saekano” Anime Plans?

Ahead of the January issue of Dragon Magazine, out in November 20th, rumor is that the bi-monthly manga/light novel periodical will announce that the new anime adaptation of Full Metal Panic! will be produced at Bones with Eureka 7‘s Tomoki Kyoda directing. Along with this is the rumor that the magazine will announce a second season of anime based on Fumiaki Maruto’s Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend, coming in fall 2016.

Without providing details about the format or specific content, light novel imprint Fujimi Fantasia Bunko announced plans for a new anime adaptation of Shoji Gatoh’s mecha military action/high school rom-com Full Metal Panic! at a weekend Akihabara fan event in October.

The series was previously adapted into a 2002 Gonzo anime, then 2005 Kyoto Animation follow-up with a 2003 Fumoffu comedy in between.
