Composers Cut Loose in Latest “ClassicaLoid” Preview

A new trailer for ClassicaLoid, an upcoming TV anime comedy with a musical twist, is now available online. The preview showcases the setting and characters for the series, as well as Beethoven’s apparent obsession with innovative ways of cooking gyoza.

 

 

In addition to the preview about, additional cast and staff have been announced for ClassicaLoid. The new staff members include composer Masashi Hamauzu as the music director for ClassicaLoid, as well as songwriter Daisuke Asakura as the musical producer for Liszt. 

 

The new cast announcements include:

 

 

Tomokazu Sugita as Beethoven.

 

 

Yūki Kaji as Mozart.

 

 

Kōsuke Toriumi as Chopin.

 

 

Mamiko Noto as Liszt.

 

 

And Tomoaki Maeno as Schubert.

 

 

The story of ClassicalLoid involves a small town that is trying to rewew itself through music. One day, “ClassicaLoid” versions of Ludwig van Beethoven and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart appear before a pair of local high school students and wield a strange force they call “musik”, which causes unhelpful effects like summoning meteor showers and giant robots.

 

ClassicaLoid is directed by Yoichi Fujita (GintamaMr. Osomatsu) and features animation by Sunrise. The series is scheduled to debut on NHK E in October of 2016.
