Say hello to Mashiro Oaks, the newest hero to join the world of Gundam. He’ll be appearing this month as the protagonist of the new manga series, Gundam Walpurgis.
Drawn by Hiyon Katsuragi of Gundam AGE and penned by Reiji Kaitou of Unbreakable Machine-Doll, Gundam Walpurgis launches to commemorate two big anniversaries in the Gundam world. 2017 marks the 30th anniversary of Gundam video games, and the 15th anniversary of the manga’s host mag, Gundam ACE.
Mashiro Oaks, a high school student in UC 0089, is pulled into the story after uploading a video of him getting a high score on the video game Walpurgis Night. This leads to him getting a mysterious message, urging him to defy his cursed fate.
Mobile Suit Gundam Walpurgis begins August 26 in Gundam ACE, with an “Episode 0” being released via the game Super Gundam Royale.
