Stumptown, “Just the fact that Greg can take a subject
matter like…coffee and turn it into a
huge story full of lying, deceit and even a form of corporate espionage
complete with armed thugs and attempted hold ups just goes to show how
freakin talented the man is.“
Invader Zim #2, “Aaron Alexovich continues to nail the house style of the Zim
franchise. It’s one thing to draw the main characters on-model, but to
also draw original aliens and still have them feel like they stepped out
of a Zim episode; that takes some bonus talent.“

Lion of Rora, a historical epic from Christos Gage & Ruth Fletcher Gage (netflix‘s Daredevil) and Jackie Lewis, coming this June! More info:
PORTLAND, OR March 21st, 2015 – Oni Press, Portland’s premier independent comic book publisher, announced today Lion of Rora, an original graphic novel by Christos Gage (Netflix’s Daredevil, Avengers Academy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Nine), Ruth Fletcher Gage (Netflix’s Daredevil, Law and Order: SVU), and Jackie Lewis. Lion of Rora will release on August 5th.
Lion of Rora tells the true story of Joshua Janavel and the Waldensians, a persecuted Christian movement in 17th century Italy. Joshua is inspired to lead his people to resist the tyranny of the local duke and fight for their freedom. His tale is one of hope, strength, and unshakable faith.
“The Waldensians are Ruth’s ancestors, so the story of Joshua Janavel is a personal and important one to us,” said Christos Gage. “But it’s also a universal tale of the struggle for freedom, family and a safe place to call home. Jackie Lewis has done an incredible job capturing both the epic scope of the battles and the small moments that convey Janavel’s struggle between the simple man of peace he wanted to be and the brilliant general he became. We couldn’t ask for a better presentation than what Oni has given Lion of Rora.”
