Have you ever felt overwhelmed or needed a place where you could feel accepted and welcomed? The Diversity Lounge will be back for Phoenix Comicon 2015 and based on your feedback and the needs of the convention, we’re expanding it! Usually thought of as a space for LGBTQIA individuals, the Phoenix Comicon Diversity Lounge is a space for everyone – a haven, and a place to have a quiet conversation with friends. It’s there for educating, and for community spirit. Sometimes in the midst of the hustle and bustle, it’s good to have a space to just “be.”

This year we’ll have tables where people can draw, engage in simple crafts, or just put their head down and tune out the world for a bit. There will be times when we put music on and people can sing and dance. There’s no schedule to the Diversity Lounge – we stay flexible, we listen to people, we follow the mood of the room and go with the flow. Look for the Diversity Lounge to be in Room 131 of the North Building.
