Boys Love Game “Taisho Mebius Line” Gets Five-Minute TV Anime Short Next Year

HolicWorks, a PC game/drama CD company for females, announced on November 22 that Taisho Chicchai-san (tentative title), a five-minute short anime based on its boys love game series Taisho Mebius Line, will be aired on terrestrial television channels in 2017.

Taisho Mebius Line was first released as an adult PC game by LoveDelivery in December 2012. Then Dramatic Create released its all-age verison for the PSP in February 2014 and for the Play Station Vita in January 2016. The story is set in the end of Japan’s Taisho era (around 1926), centers on the protagonist Kyoichiro Hiiragi who can see ghosts, and his relationship with the people around him who also have unusual powers.

While the game tells a more serious story, Taisho Chicchai-san is expected to be a comedy series featuring deformed version characters, like the recent OZMAFIA!! TV anime adaptation.

Tohoku Penet (Gakuen Handsome) is confirmed to work on anime production, and it has already

started recruiting animators for the anime.
