Blend S, a humorous 4-panel manga by Miyuki Nakayama about a young lady who gets a job working at an unusual roleplaying-themed cafe, is being adapted into a TV anime.
The adaptation will be officially announced in the February 2017 issue of Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Carat seinen manga magazine, in which Blend S is serialized. Further details (such as the cast, the crew, and the release date) have not yet been revealed.
The story of Blend S follows Maika Sakuranomiya, a young lady whose neutral facial expression makes her appear perpetually in a bad mood. This feature makes it difficult for Maika to find a part time job, until one day she lands an interview for a position at a cafe. However, it turns out that the venue is maid-style cafe in which all of the waitresses act out “roles” for the customers, and Maika is assigned the role of “extreme sadist”…
