“Black Lagoon” Creator Teases Announcements

In late 2014, when plans for Fate/Grand Order were detailed, Black Lagoon creator Rei Hiroe was listed in the impressive roster of artists involved. F/GO is now in its end game and Rei Hiroe’s art has finally appeared, in the form of Rider Quetzalcoatl. After grabbing fans’ attention with crossover featuring his early, 1994 Nazis versus manga Hisuikyou Kitan (Jade Gorge Story), the artist directed fans to a teaser blog post.

Coming in the January issue of manga magazine Sunday GX, on sale December 19th, a major announcement concerning a long-in-development project will be announced.  Rei Hiroe hints that it is submarine themed, or least that’s how he’s metaphorically putting its preparation:

Emerging from submarine duty.
Blowing the ballast!
I’m so sick of the bottom of the sea!!

He also promises news on the on-hiatus Lagoon, the most recent volume of which was collected in 2014.
