“Antique Carnevale” Revealed as Square Enix’s Latest Game

Square Enix announced a completely new game called Antique Carnevale. Info is light at the moment, and there are currently no confirmed platforms, but an official website is live with a story outline and the first character promo.

The story description cryptically questions the differences between dolls and people, and what separates “things” from “living things.” It goes on to describe an invitation to a labyrinth, in which explorers wander and get deeply lost in search of an exit. It seems there may be hope when one boy visits the labyrinth on his own and truly understands the desires of the dolls captured within it.

The first character introduction trailer covers Bernhard (CV: Natsuki Hanae), the personification of the Wyvern summon who guards town as the Valamion’s commanding knight. Thanks to an order from the president, his current mission has him searching for the next generation’s strongest masters.

More character trailers will be released throughout the month, and further news on the game will follow on July 18.
